I used Pen Tool, Gradient, Transparency, Gaussian Blur and Wrap Tool for the tones and hair. The problem I encountered for this portrait was saving time. Because of many layers and huge canvas size (nearly 4000 in width).

My latest illustration for the portrait of Korean Actress Song Hye Kyo (in Dec, 2008). I was not a fun of that actress and Korean movies. I didn’t even know who she was when working on this picture later I knew from my friend that she was a Korean drama star.

I saw that picture at Internet image search and it’s so fascinating to me. She was so beautiful, smart and look very calm in appearance.

I used only Adobe Illustrator 10 and mouse (I don’t even have a pen tablet  in this moment .. may be I will have it soon) to sketch on her photo. It is a little bit difficult for it because it’s much more detail for the tones. I used Gaussian Blur almost all for the tones and Wrap Tool for some windy hair effect.

It took almost 7 days at my late evenings after my office. I still owed to do some of my idea for this illustration and much more will come to be more lively on her picture.
