I liked that kid’s ugly naughty style since I was at nine grade. A friend of mine used to sing his songs in the classroom and he normally smashed Kid Joe’s sketches at the back of his school books. Once time my teacher asked him “Why you loved so much for that naughty casper?” then we laughed because of her usage. We explained her about the character. But she never got a point for that and warned him not to make any sketches in her subject books. Then I more familiar with that character.
When I thought about the sketch I dropped the hidden bottle and put the bomb in his hidden hand. Because I hate drinking and I never even have a drop in my life (believe me?). But I did this one as my loving character and for my friend who introduced this character to me. According to my portfolio diary this was illustrated on 28 November, 2007 on Adobe Illustrator.
I love Japanese cartoon characters. Since I came Thailand I just noticed about that. Thai people are very found of Japanese cartoons (translated in Thai). I don’t know how much they love it but what I know is I love the characters in those cartoon books. I saw once time in BBC web site .. what Chineses said was “I hate Japaneses but I love Japanese cartoons”. No wonder for it.
Japanese cartoon Artists’ rounded shaped eyes characters will never let you escape from magnet of attraction. I tested this character with my own idea to be sexy. What I used to tell for my creations as Steve Jobs’ quote for Mac OS X. What I will say for my quote is “I made my Art and Design on the screen look so good and sexy you’ll want to kiss and lick them“.
I used to draw Illustration more on Adobe Illustrator rather than Corel Draw. But I love both. This cartoon character is from Myanmar (Burma) famous cartoon comic book named “Poe Zar”. It is fun to read and my favorite cartoon too.
I drew this character without using Gradient technique. I knew some of the parts would not be smooth as I expected. I stopped at 501 layers as a record breaking for a single character creation. Because I had never done before and the previous ones that I had done were no more than 200 layers.
